Welcome to my site
The selected watercolors, acrylics and hand pulled lithographs shown on the following pages represent a cross section of my work. I adhere to a simple philosophy, that art and life are interconnected. The surrounding natural environment with its many lakes and wooded hills subtly enters into the interior living and working spaces of our home and studios becoming the basis for much of the work on view.
I have endeavoured within the content of this site to present a brief overview of my work and the environment in which it is created.
Please visit the Archives where one can review a selection of past work. Check out the Printmaking section and follow a hand pulled lithograph through process and proofing as well as a daily journal of it's making.
Do enjoy the site.

I began drawing and painting as a youngster. Entering the Ontario College of Art in the late 1940's I came under the influence of teachers Jock MacDonald, Carl Shaeffer, and John Martin, who gave those students who wanted it, the ability to work and see through creative eyes. Along the way I discovered oriental art, architecture, and print making. After reading Frank Lloyd Wright's revolutionary (at the time) treatise on 'The Nature of Materials' all of the various avenues I was then exploring were joined into one road, which I have faithfully followed. Under the heading 'Professional Experience' are listed three of those avenues, each were and still are equally important to my growth as a creative individual.
